Literally the SUDDEN attack! brought to you by in2it.sg

sa2It was one hell of an evening over at Game Haven on March 21 for about 300 gamers as they played through the official launch of Korean No. 1 game, Sudden Attack, presented by Asiasoft. No one cared about the jam-packed rooms where the Full Fire Assault Operations tournament in search for the best Sudden Attack team was held.

With their skilful fingers already accustomed to the crucial buttons of the keyboard and mouse, the winning team, Team Soshi, hit away the keys to their victory. Team SWAT and Team Korea put up a good fight and grabbed the second and third place respectively.

MMOFPS Sudden Attack - Terrorist versus counter-terrorist

sa1Be either the terrorist (red team) or fight against the terrorists in the counter-terrorist team (blue team)! Climb up the ranking ladder by getting the head shots and dodging from the sniper fire and machine guns in Sudden Attack! Does a sense of deja vu overcome you?

Following the traditional format of games like Counter Strike and Combat Arms, why try Sudden Attack?

One essential difference is that Sudden Attack is free-to-play. But, probably the exhilarating factor of the game is the continuous exchange of bullets/knives between you and your opponent, and each battle does not last longer than ten minutes (or at least for me!). And sometimes, you might find yourself dead even before you knew the bullet was coming your way!

Also, you can purchase the different weapons with either your in-game currency or real currency. Other than weapons, real currency will allow you to purchase in-game boosts and special bonus items.

Apart from that, the games graphic is not good/bad - just right, and the sound effects are pretty impressive, especially when the game goes too fast.

And, of course, like other online FPS games, foresee lagging problem from time to time. Well, it's expected, isn't it?

Sudden Attack is for adrenaline junkies who love the thrill of continuous shooting and knifing in a small period of time.

From the start of April 2009, a series of Sudden Attack tournaments will be held weekly by Asiasoft @Cafe partners. This will lead up to the monthly battles organised by Asiasoft. Tournament details will be released soon, so (we don't have to tell you this, but) watch this space as we bring you the updates!
