We've got in2 Mini Fighting!

In2it.sg sat in for the first ever Mini Fighter UMC Tournament in Singapore last Saturday and it was full of button-mashing, beat-em up fun! The event was jointly hosted by CJ Entertainment, Netmarble, Round1.SG and to add to the excitement, in2it.sg's very own mini-fighter champion "AhLimEK" actually turned up to take part in the tournament!

For those who have no clue what mini fighter is, it's basically a fast paced very addictive 2D fighting MMORPG published by Netmarble. Well, it's obviously my duty to try to describe the action as best as I can in words but I am pretty sure it would pale in comparison to the actual experience of trying it out.

Basically, there are 8 characters who boast powers such as rampaging pandas, transforming into a bear, fiery kicks, mini hurricanes, birds perching on shoulders and so on.
Did I lose you back there? You just have to try it out to know what it is all about!

Alright, back to the event! The event featured a knock-out tournament where 16 contestants fought it out in order to win a grand prize of $600! The 16 contestants were "summoned" into a grand arena by the Gamemaster and they slugged it out 2 by 2 until the final 2 emerged. This was done twice until there were 4 players left to compete for the final prizes.

First place eventually went to Toh Wei Xiong (aka arts), who had just started the game for 2 weeks. That speaks volumes about the amount of talent he has, he's now the champion of Mini Fighter in Singapore after only 2 weeks of game-time under his belt. Watch out if you meet him in game, we have had first-hand experience watching him dish out a whooping.

All in all, it was a fun and exciting experience. Everyone went home a winner as all participants of the tournament were given a Mini Fighter goodie bag and 10,000 Netmarble credits to "customise" their own in-game characters.
