Are you spending your holiday in Singapore?


Well, it is not going to as devastating as what you have in mind (though I cannot agree on that), instead of sulking, why not explore this sunny (rainy) island.


Animal lovers, culturist, explorers and islanders; we have got it all for each and every one of you. Shall we explore the Zoo, The National Museum of Singapore, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Sentosa. And if it is a holiday, take the public transport like how you would overseas (if you have not in a long time); take your time to explore the beauty of this island.
First and foremost, take your camera along and snap as many pictures as possible. Grab a good map from the tourism centre for navigation (tourist, remember?).

Singapore Zoo

Singapore_ZooThe renowned ‘open concept' Singapore Zoo is set in a rainforest environment, where animals live in spacious and landscaped environments simulating that of their natural habitat. The 315 animals with 16% threatened species are not just for observation; there are educational content designed in an interactive mode featuring all of the exhibits. It aims to effectively convey facts about the animals and messages about wildlife conservation for all.

The National Museum of Singapore

Singapore's oldest museum encompasses a rich history dating back to it inception in 1887. Displaying the 11 National Treasures, and Singapore's History (consist different heritage and ethnic traditions). The Living Galleries adopt the cutting-edge and unique way of presenting history and culture to redefine conventional museum experience. This place which contains memories for all Singaporeans allows them to trace their roots enables us better understanding of our past. Embrace the precious artefacts and exhibitions put up for you.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

This beautiful 130 hectors Reserve includes mangroves SungeiBulohand freshwater wetlands. The Reserve has become well known for its wondrous birdlife, particularly during the migratory season of September to March when huge flocks of shorebirds visit the Reserve. In addition, this Reserve is also home to an amazing diversity of other interesting plants and animals. Look out for the family of wild otters, resident crocodile and lively monitor lizards.
If you choose to be on the boardwalks which will take you right among the mangrove trees, remember to take a closer look at these strange plants and climbing crabs on the trees. Keep an open eye for a bizarre of fishes such as the mudskipper, that can frolick out of water; and the Archer fish, that shoots insects with a jet of water.

Remember to catch the free guided tour or Marine Fish Tour on Saturdays.

Sentosa

This fun-filled island with heaps of things to do consist of attractions such as Imbiah lookout, Desperados, Dolphin Lagoons, Underwater World, Sentosa Luge and Skyride, Songs of the sea and many more; you will not even be able to complete them within a day. Or relax and enjoy the nature of Sentosa and its beaches. Wine and dine at the fancy restaurants island wide. Adore this wholesome island away from the city's hustle and bustle.
