Crocs’ latest number rarely shies away from the brand’s androgynous appeal, wrapped in a construction that is universally fashionable and comfortable to the tired feet. Almost divorced from the loud and cheerful shades of the foam clogs Crocs is famous for, the new unisex Hover Slip On Plaid offers a spark of surprise to the brand’s otherwise stern celebration of colours. Sketched on the surface of the crimson and black chequered material is a herringbone pattern that melts a refreshing style into the uniform design. A reasonable solution to the question of durability is also offered in the form of suede overlays which mark the back of the shoes.

The soles of the shoes are a timely reminder of the innovations founded by Crocs with its proprietary foam resin, the Croslite – which you may remember as the same material that lends their popular clogs a soft glow. Croslite here functions less of an element in aesthetics and more as a plump cushion that protects your feet from the vagaries of weathered grounds. Bedded in what Crocs call Croslite blood circulation nubs or what we call tiny raised beads, the interior of the sole evinces a smooth massage-esque sensation which feels comfy and unique.

The unisex Hover Slip On Plaid is now available for $89.90 at all Crocs outlets, including #01-63/64, Vivo City, #03-134/135/136, Marina Square and #02-41, Changi City Point.
