Scrapbooking Your Love!

Do you like this story?

A creative belated Valentine’s gift!

Did you screw up and forget about Valentine’s Day? Do you have a bruised heart to soothe? Are the flowers not working? Promises of dinner and presents aren’t winning her over? Well, don’t worry! in2it.sg has come up with a little gift idea to help you win back the favor of your lady love!

Clearly flowers are a must, be it a single stalk or a whole bouquet. Having missed one of THE dates of the year, it would be best to work a little harder to impress your girl. At this stage, she is not only expecting flowers, but probably dinner and chocolates as well a little something else to make up for your ‘boo-boo’.

For this ‘mission’ we suggest you head down to Paper Market or Made with Love!

These two scrapbook hobby shops are filled with things to help you create that special handcrafted gift to placate your sweetheart.

For beginners, why not try picking out a nice sheet of colored paper and some simple embellishments and try writing up a nice poem for her?

If you have no eye for designs, not to worry! Head straight for the packs and everything comes in a set for your ease. There are a lot of themes to choose from, so take your time to pick out something just right.

As for poems, well, not everyone is William Blake or Robert Frost, but as long as it comes from the heart, we’re sure she’ll be touched. But if you want something a little more class try a some Dickens or just go for Google, something will come up that’s to your fancy not that she has to know). And remember you don’t have to use the whole poem, you can use excerpts.

Take a little care when you are scribing your poem on your fancy paper, and when the time is right you can read it out to her, or if you’re a little shy just hand it over sweetly and her heart will probably melt just enough for you to be back in her good graces.

Is she more of a visual person? What about a self detailed photo frame and photo instead? Pick your favorite photo with her and write a little note about why it’s your favorite, and when you give it to her, remind her of the moment the shot was taken.

If you want to take it a step further, do up a scrapbook! You don’t have to do the entire book, but you could start off the first few pages and suggest that you complete the rest together.

It’s perfectly normal to walk into the shop and feel like a lost lamb but there is plenty of help around, all you have to do is ask, and let’s not forget the wonders of the internet. These ideas are good for any special occasion so you might want to make a note and keep it tucked away for emergencies.
