A leading designer and manufacturer of environmentally responsible footwear and apparel, Ocean Minded believes in being as eco-friendly as possible by utilizing all available materials. Acquired by Crocs, Inc. in 2007, Ocean Minded uses materials such as recycled tires and plastic bottles and even recycled Crocslite (The stuff Crocs are made of) to build their footwear!

These icons help you distinguish certain properties of the product that you are looking at. From using water-based glue to metal free leather and recycled tires, to using plant based materials such as bamboo and hemp, Ocean Minded’s line up not only looks good but is easy on your conscious as well.

Amongst Ocean Minded’s interesting logos, a particularly curious one is the ‘Vegan Choice’. A ‘Vegan Choice’ product makes no use of any animal materials making it the perfect item for vegans!

 

All products use silk screen printing, and though color may fade with time and usage, the prints will stay on forever. The shirts are made from organic cotton, so they are thin and super soft, great for our Singapore weather!

If you are someone who loves to wear slippers or sandals wherever you go, then you’ll definitely want to check out Ocean Minded’s Storm Surf and Tamarok designs. These two are design to fit the contours of your feet, and provide you with even more cushioning for great comfort and durability!

The price range is about $40-$100 per item. Although this might seem pricey for some, remember Ocean Minded prides itself on using as much recycled materials as possible and the reality is that recycled materials really aren’t that cheap. But this is one case in which spending a little more is just a small thing that goes a long way to contributing to look after our environment!
