in2it.sg was lucky enough to get a chance to attend Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention 2011 at Suntec City last weekend!

If you thought 600 people queuing at 6:30AM was impressive, check this out: by 7:00AM, the queue numbered about 1,000 fans.

Fans came all the way down and queued since 10:30PM the night before to get first dibs on newly-launched items such as an exclusive Singapore cover to the Captain America #1 issue that features Captain America in front of the Merlion. 2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive figurines by Hot Toys were also up for grabs!

More than 80 exclusive collectibles and product launches were first seen during the two-day event.

STGCC 2011 played host to a number of big names in the industry such as Marvel’s international talent scout C.B. Cebulski and Paul Levitz, former President of DC comics.

In line with the Cosplay@STGCC competition that was held on Sunday, Japanese top cosplayer Kipi who was invited as a judge for the Cosplay competition.

STGCC 2011 has definitely continued on its East-meets-West theme. This was definitely showcased in their well-rounded guest list. The convention not only featured guests from Marvel, but also invited down the founder of the popular Japanese-inspired brand tokidoki, Simone Legno. Read our exclusive interview with him here!
