Art Buffet Singapore!

Who said arts is not for all? The beinnial Singapore Art Show (SAS) is back and is taking place across island wide. From 21 August till 4 October this year, expect arts for all ages. Be it traditional painting, contemporary art or public sculptures created by local artist and Singapore-based artist.

Organised by the National Art Council (NAC), the SAS is a national visual arts platform creating awareness for inspiring artists. The biennial festival showcases the various types of visual arts in Singapore; it serves to present creative ideas to artists and curators. It also wishes for public engagement and appreciation in visual arts within Singapore.

"SAS brings people from different works of life with similar passion together. Visual arts in Singapore has come a long way, this is a celebration of diversity and excellence. Through our programmes, we want to spread the word that people can access art and their own creativity in many different ways and places, thereby contributing to the diversity of Singapore's visual arts scene." said CEO of NAC, Mr Lee Suan Hiang.

SAS that will be held over 60 different venues in Singapore, one of the venues will be at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) from start date till the 18 October. This year's theme - Art Buffet Singapore!, works like how a standard buffet does. SAS is offering a visual feast for audience to attune themselves to the creative works of Singapore artists.

Audience, you could be a part of SAS by designing your own "Art is" T-shirt with winning design produced and sold in more than 70 Graniph stores worldwide. Or send your artwork on "Art is" ZoCards to be displayed in public areas and in magazines.

There is no need for consideration when it comes to treating your eyes. Head down to SAM this moment to unleash the artistic side of you!
