Christmas Woes: Part II

You are left with 18 days to Christmas, scratching your head for ideas are not going to get you anywhere. I know how everyone yearns for a fantastic Christmas party, what is it that you adore? Is it a cosy gathering at a fancy restaurant, a relaxing chill out (like on average days) or are you waiting to unleash that party animal in you?

For less than $50 per head, Ricciotti, Italian deli and pastry is offering the three-course lunch menu at $29.90 (from Dec 23 to 25), indulge in Christmas traditions - roast turkey breast rolled and stuffed with chestnut, pistachio, Italian chipolata and roast potatoes. However, if you fancy dinner like I do, the five-course festive dinner have an addition; scallop wrapped with bacon served with gazpacho sauce at $49.90.

Nevertheless, if you prefer a causal fun and chic festive gathering, why not head down to Hooters to enjoy sliced honey glazed gammon ham with green asparagus topped with pineapple sauce for $18.90 or roast sliced turkey breast with chestnut stuffing and cranberries sauce for $24.90. Do not miss Hooter's hooty hour special from 10pm onwards; get 2 beers or spirits of the same kind and get the third one for free.

If you are looking for a refreshing change, head to Tomo Izakaya <www.tomoizakaya.com> for their Christmas special set dinner for 2 at $88. You will be chomping down an array of delights such as taraba gani (king crab) shabu shabu, grilled quail eggs with cranberry sauce, grilled ham with pineapple maki sushi and more. This lovely festive dinner will end you off with Japanese's favourite, mochi ice-cream.

That cannot be all for Christmas, savour your night after your yum(s) with Bangkok Invaders and Andrew Chow as your celebrate a hip hop Christmas at Zouk. Do not miss this debut party of the year! Be the first 300 before 10pm and pay $18 (with two standard drinks) or $25 (f) / $30 (m) after.

However, if you prefer to countdown to this special occasion, for $30 with you standard drinks, join Dirty South; nominee for the renowned Australian Music Industry's top accolade, the ARIA awards. Be sure to kiss Christmas Eve good bye with Dragan (Dirty South) this year.

If you have adapted a new love, of partying at The Butter Factory; be sure to attend the Triple Xmas, Bump (DJs Drem and Mylk) for $23 (f) / $28 (m) or Triple Xmas Special, Fash (DJs Dave Does and Inquisitive) for $21 (f) / $26 (m) on 24th December (Christmas Eve) from 10pm to 5am (all prices includes two standard drinks).
