I'm guessing this is one of the anticipated movie among men, especially for those who are a fan of Alien vs Predator and the classic 1987's Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and 1990's Predator 2. For those of you who are not sure of its release date, well let me tell you that it's out in cinemas already!

While it was a tad better than Alien vs Predator, it was a little disappointing, especially the part where there were (supposedly) about 10 or more Predators aiming their laser guns at the alpha-male leader (Adrien Brody) which was shown in the trailer - well, it didn't happen in the movie! That would have been a really interesting scene to have, as fans of Predator would know that Predators only fight in small numbers (three at most), so a twist wouldn't be too bad, if that scene really did happen. I mean, at least, that was what I was looking out for when I caught the trailer.

It wasn't all that bad, though, especially since guys have something - or should I say someone? - to look out for. What is it? Well, Brazilian actress Alice Braga, of course! Such an eye-candy, she's set to drool the hearts of viewers even with her rugged character in the movie.

Overall, it was an "okay" movie for me. Enough action scenes and twists to glue you to your seat, or at least keep you awake. Still wished that scene with more than 10 Predators happened though. I felt so cheated when I left the cinema. Still do, actually. HAHA.

For those of you who've caught it, share your thoughts on the movie here! :D

watched it with compliments of movie vouchers i won from in2it! hahah!

This movie was better than the AVP series. But then again, it'd be hard to find any movie that is worse than that. =P

i found Predators very disappointing. The plot was cliche and very predictable. In fact, i found the effects pretty gaudy. Dialogue was cheesy and so uninspiring, even for a action movie. No random funny line, nothing. I guess Adrien Broody's fine, but I can't get the image of him in The Pianist outta my head. Found that he tries to hard, ending up speaking like Batman in the movie LOL. You won't be disappointed, however, if you're looking for some explosions and carnage in the film - there's lots of that. I had a friend who's a Predators fan who ACTUALLY found the movie good. To each his own, i guess. But for normal movie-goers, i suggest you wait for this to come out on DVD. Not exactly worth the time imo.

On another note, I watched another movie that blew my socks off the other day. ALL of you should catch despicable me. It's really a brilliant and hilarious feel-good movie! Watch it in 3D!!!

haha. awww. we're glad our movie vouchers were of good use to you. haha. and yes, highly agree on the part where there's no movie worst than AVP series. haha.

Batman? which Batman are you talking about? Batman Returns? haha. I can't get the image of him in King Kong out of my head! hahaha. but yeah, i kinda regret booking the tickets online. not worth my $18. dangs. thank god the movie wasn't 2 hours long. i'd have fallen asleep in the theatre, otherwise. lol.

hey, really? i wanna catch Despicable Me, but wasn't sure if it's worth my $10 or not! guess i should, shouldn't i? haha.

Despicable Me was an OK movie, some scenes were funny yet others were a bit emotional.

But overall in my opinion I thought they could have done it better.

Yes, it wasn't as good as what I imagined it would be.

I caught the movie last week since I am quite a fan of the Predators (and Aliens) series. I completed the latest AvP game a few months back as well, so it was something that I couldn't miss.

As sequels go, it isn't as great as expected. But as a standalone basis,  it was entertaining enough, though some parts seem rather rushed, and character development seems to be lacking a little.

All in all, if you are looking to catch a simple action movie to end your day, this could be it!

Yours,
S
